Once again, I turn to the gestalt

Dear Friends of the Internet,

Help.

I have run into somewhat of a problem, in that the usual supplier I use for Mong pies has stopped baking.
At present I have a few options of pie suppliers, but none of them is entirely ideal, so I'm still looking. (Never fear, brave CF goers, there shall be pies either way, I'm just a perfectionist)

Have you had a particularly nice pie in Christchurch recently? Know of a particularly delicious bakery?

Given the choice between a fairly average but less than $3 pie and a truly delicious but more than $3.50 pie, which would you prefer?

(Please note, I am definately doing the gourmet game pies again - they come from a different supplier, this is for the standard steak, steak and cheese etc range)
